Cash bar hire: common questions
What is a cash bar?
Guests buy their own drinks from our bartenders and pay by card or cash. You get a fully staffed bar at your event without paying for every drink yourself.
When does a cash bar make sense?
Cash bars suit larger crowds and open events: sports club nights, fundraisers, community festivals, school and club functions, and parties where guests are happy to buy a round.
Can I mix a cash bar with a bar tab?
Yes. Many hosts cover a welcome drink or the first hour with a bar tab, then switch to a cash bar for the rest of the night.
Do I need a liquor licence for a cash bar?
Selling alcohol at an event usually needs the right liquor licence for the venue. Tell us where your event is and we'll walk you through what's needed before the day.
What can we serve?
Beer, wine, spirits, cocktails and soft drinks. We set the menu and prices with you, and can add a coffee cart for the non-drinkers.
